Gathering Stones

I wonder what you will find if you go for a ROCK WALK around your home? Will you find rocks in your yard, hidden in the woods, along a trail, or being used for a certain purpose?  Here are some rocks I found around my home.

around a garden

Stone Shapes

What colors do you see? Do you see any lines, spots or swirls? I wonder how a rock will feel in your hand?  Will it be smooth, bumpy or rough? Will it feel light or heavy? How would you describe the shape of your rock?

If You Find a Rock

On Wednesday, it will be time to wash, sort and count the beach rocks!  Then the rocks will be delivered to Lincoln Nursery School so that your Studio Teachers can share them with YOU!
