I told a Mouse Story, which is a listening exercise. I “illustrate” the story with the guitar. When I play a scale going up, Mouse (who lives in a hole in the paw paw patch), is going up the stairs, to peek out of her hole, and when the scale goes down, she’s going back into her hole. During this, we played a kind of “name that tune” as part of the story. For example she heard a rumbling sound which turned out to be a “Wheels on the Bus” going by. Similarly, they had to identify the song Paw Paw Patch and Rain, Rain, Go Away, for those who knew those songs.
