Michael Row the Boat Ashore– Mika and Zack had shared earlier this week that they knew different words, and today we worked on just what those words were. They seemed to agree on these two verses: The river is deep and the river is wide…milk and honey on the other side; and The river is deep and the river is cold…chills the body but not the soul. Mika wanted to make sure that the “Sister help to trim the sail” was in there, though he also mentioned “The river is windy, deep and cold, don’t let go of the handle,” which may reference what sister is doing when she trims the sail. We then got out the rope and sang it a bit, and then pretended we were on some very turbulent water with big waves – reflecting the high winds outside this morning! Then we sang Shake It All Over Townand the crocodile verse ofRow Row Row.
Yoga– the breathing with star/mountain, house/moon and waterfall/elephant, and also did “Eve” and there was some talk about the other Eve that they saw on the Woodland Walk!
