Studio Yellow, Week 27

Dear Studio Yellow,

It has been so wonderful connecting with so many of you by video chat. It is comforting to see you happy and engaged with your families. Thank you for sharing with us so many of the things you have been doing. From your photographs it seems that you have been doing similar things to us. It seems that we all really like getting outside. We miss you but know how important it is for all of us to stay home.

XO Alice and Sue

Discoveries in our neighborhoods?

Elliot spotted this shape on one of his walks.  He thought it looked like a man.  His grandma, Mimi, saw a sleeping dog and a Santa. What do you see?

Alice passes this rock every day on her dog walk.  What do you think she thinks it looks like?  Ben, It reminds us of your slippers!

Jamie thought this tree looked like a kronosaurus, a dinosaur that he’d seen at the Harvard Natural History Museum.

Lily and Gracie found some worms that are going to move to their garden to help their plants grow. Josie and her sisters left discoveries for their neighbors to find! They painted rocks in beautiful colors and sprinkled them throughout their neighborhood to brighten everyone’s days!

Alice also spotted some creatures on her walk.  You have to look really closely in the rocks as someone is camouflaged.  And finally Mrs. Mallard came back to the river.

For the time being, it looks like William and his Dad found some great substitutes for Sliding Rock!

Can you guess what kind of animals inhabit some of the trails Sue walks?

Ben made the most of the snow by making a snowman, and both Makenna and Elliot went on different types of scavenger hunts.  Makenna was searching for specific items while Elliot responded to a Daily Invitation to look for green things. Stella explored very high above some ponds.

Movie Night, Dance Parties, Making Music listening to LNS stories and building forts!

Helping around the house - and washing away all those nasty germs!

Snuggling with our pets!

Practicing our photography skills.
