After completing the taping design on our cork board, now it was time to mix our own shades of green and paint the spaces in between the tape. We look at the Lincoln Nursery School car pass and car magnet to inspire some color ideas.
Sam and Ruthie mix their own colors, using tubes of green, yellow and white. Then they test their colors on spare pieces of cork.

After experimenting with more variations of green, we are ready to paint! We try to thoughtfully space the colors so different shades are next to each other. We discover that some of the small spaces require a smaller paintbrush.
