On Thursday, Jamie and Wesley wanted to wrestle, and Susannah (she’s back!) was with them as they began pulling on each others’ bodies in a playful way. As Susannah watched she saw that someone might fall into a cabinet and get hurt, and she asked them what they thought about that. Jamie said “Roadblock!” seeming to indicate the idea of making a barrier so that each of them had their own space. Together, they began building it, and the wrestling shifted into this project. Other children came by, wondering how to respond to it. Some wanted to add blocks, some knocked over blocks as they walked by, but then returned to help repair it; all quickly realized that they enjoyed walking/leaping over it.
