Week 2

We have been noticing children making connections this past week.   Connections with new friends, friends from previous years at LNS and reuniting with children they met before coming to Lincoln Nursery School.  During these moments we have also noticed the children offering and accepting help from each other, sharing and building knowledge.

Charlie N and Makenna help Alice cross the bridge they built at Early Arrival. 

Under the Secret Tree on Friday Wesley wanted to climb up onto the branch as Kaya did. He couldn’t quite find a way to do it.  Kaya demonstrated for him…
Travers did it like this.  He slided onto the branch.  OK!  That’s hard! Kaya explained
It worked! exclaimed Wesley proudly. Is this branch getting high?  It does!  How do I get down?

In the playground Alex shows Cassie how to shoot a basketball, explaining how to stand and how to hold the ball.
In the studio Will F asks Alex how to make a robot from a wooden fidget puzzle.
Stories and books are always a great way to make connections…
I have this book at my house….This book was in Studio Yellow last time….
