“Why did you put it up there?…and how?”

Upon entering the studio on Wednesday morning, the children quickly noticed a big change!  The Sheila Pepe inspired piece that they had been working on in the mini studio was now hanging high above the rug.

“Why did you put it up there…and how?”  CASE

“You guys used a ladder to put it up there.”  TRAVERS

“That was my idea too.”  CASE

“I think you used a ladder and climbed up and somehow put it on that part and that part (light rail)”  CHARLIE N.

“I think you used a gondola.  It’s a thing that carries you up a mountain.”  TAIT

“Like a chairlift.”  LOUIS

“With ropes.”  CASE

“I thought it was flying but it’s hanging.”  TRAVERS

“How could you put the rope on that side and that side?”  TAIT

We then shared with the children how we hung the piece.

“How did you hold the ladder?”  LOUIS

After describing the type of ladder used, we returned to the second part of Case’s question…Why did we put it up?

“‘Cause you wanted to make everyone happy.”  TAIT

“Yes.  It makes me happy.”  CASE

“It makes it look like the sun is in here.  The knots in the middle look like the sun.”  WES

“I think you put it up there with a ladder, it makes the sun outside happy.”  CHARLIE N.
