Once our clay pieces were dried and then fired in the kiln, we painted our designs with a black glaze. We concentrated on painting the glaze into the intricate grooves to highlight the patterns.
Then we used a sponge to gently rub the paint off the outer surface to reveal the inner textures and designs!
After several days of glazing and sponging our clay is ready to be re-fired in the kiln! We look forward to hanging them on our birch branch with earth colored felted wool balls!
