LNS Traditions

Magical Encounters

Magical Encounters is celebrated in the fall. While walking in the sculpture park or trails children discover woodland puppets that greet the children and share a story.

 Lantern
Walk

In December, the LNS Community gathers for a sing-a-long (with musical instruments!) and lantern walk around the sculpture park.

May
Day

In early May, the children parade through the sculpture park and dance and sing around the maypole with the music teacher to celebrate the arrival of spring. Parents, families and caregivers are invited to share in this tradition.

Family
Day

Family Day is hosted in June and provides an opportunity to explore various forms of art with open-ended materials that children use daily in their studios – both current and alumni families are invited to join
